Jamie Hamilton

Helping hurting hearts encounter hope, healing, and renewed faith through real-life stories and biblical truth.

About Jamie

Jamie Hamilton is a speaker and co-founder of Hole in the Roof Ministries, where she and her husband create space for hurting people to encounter hope, healing, and renewed faith. Jamie loves telling stories — especially the kind that reveal how God shows up in ordinary, sometimes messy moments — and she serves individuals and families navigating pain, loss, and spiritual rebuilding.

Much of Jamie’s teaching flows from her own journey — moments of personal crisis that God has redeemed and transformed into powerful, modern-day parables. Using ordinary objects, honest storytelling, and biblical truth, Jamie invites audiences to see God’s presence in unexpected places and to discover how He meets us right where we are. Her heart is to help people feel seen, encouraged, and reminded that no story is beyond redemption.

Speaking Topics

Shame to Strength

Shame to Strength helps believers identify and release toxic shame rooted in trauma, false responsibility, or forgiven pasts, replacing it with Christ’s steadfast strength. Anchored in Psalm 73:25-26 & Psalm 34:5, it offers hope, healing, and freedom.

When All Else Fails, Follow the Directions

When All Else Fails helps believers trust God’s guidance one step at a time, especially in uncertainty or waiting seasons. Anchored in Proverbs 3:5–6 & Psalm 119:105, this message encourages obedience, surrender, & confidence in God’s direction.

Battles, Burdens, and Buckets

Battles, Burdens, and Buckets encourages perseverance in difficult seasons, helping believers release what God never intended them to carry alone. Rooted in Heb. 12:11 & Phil. 4:12, this message strengthens faith, endurance, & dependence on God.

The Tarnished Crown

The Tarnished Crown shares a personal testimony of trusting God through brokenness & injustice, revealing how He brings beauty from ashes. Anchored in 2 Samuel 11:1–5, Isaiah 61:3  & Romans 8:28, this mature-audience message offers hope, healing, & restoration.

The Long Way of Obedience

The Long Way of Obedience is a faith-building teaching on choosing integrity when no one is watching. Through the story of Ruth & real-life experiences, discover how faithfulness in the small, unseen choices produces lasting fruit & honors God.

The Sound of Silence

From Job 2:11–13, discover the sacred ministry of presence. Job’s friends began well by offering compassionate silence instead of solutions. Just as God spoke to Elijah in a gentle whisper, we learn to reflect God’s heart by listening, staying, & loving quietly.

Each teaching ranges from 30 minutes to an hour and is adaptable for prayer breakfasts, banquets, conferences, and special events.

What Makes My Speaking Unique

I don’t approach speaking as a performance or a lecture, but as an invitation — an opportunity to create space for God to meet people in real and meaningful ways. My speaking style is deeply rooted in storytelling and in noticing how God speaks through ordinary, sometimes unexpected moments.

I frequently use simple objects and real-life experiences to help people see Scripture come alive in ways that feel accessible and memorable. My desire isn’t just to share information, but to create space for reflection, connection, and Spirit-led insight.

Connection to Hole in the Roof Ministries

My husband, Paul, and I first started Hole in the Roof Ministry Center as a non-denominational church plant in St. Louis in 1999. Today, we continue serving through one-on-one ministry, support groups, written articles, and our podcast, Hole in the Roof Chronicles.
